Charlie Chapter Summaries

Chapter 7:

Charlie’s Birthday:

Charlie entered the room and his family shouted, “Happy Birthday” to him. Charlie was surprised. For his birthday present he got a WONKA'S WHIPPLE-SCRUMPTIOUS FUDGEMALLOW DELIGHT from Grandpa Joe. Charlie and Grandpa Joe really wanted a golden ticket. The whole family knew that they both wanted it. So, everyone paid close attention when Charlie started to open the chocolate wrapper. Apparently, Charlie faked it and said that he had it. Everyone was sad. Charlie wanted to give them part of his chocolate but no one would accept even a little bit of it.

Chapter 17:

Augustus Gloop goes up the pipe :

When Mr. Wonka was surprised to see Augustus Gloop who was scooping out the chocolate from the chocolate river with his hands! Mr. Wonka corrected Augustus not to touch the chocolate by hands, but he didn’t listen. When Augustus reached the river too far, he fell in! His mother cried out that he couldn’t swim yet. Every one tried to get him out, but it was too late. He went up through the pipe, which led to Pipe Room. Mr. Wonka called the Oompa Loompa to bring Mrs., Gloop to the Fudge Room to find her son.
